The Cal Lutheran Writing Center presents an event honoring local senior writers, with a showcase of three in particular. For the past 18 months as part of the Cal Lutheran Writing Center’s Community Outreach Project, these writers have worked closely with the Writing Center to write and revise their memoirs, for which this event will be their commencement. Authors will read excerpts from their work then complimentary lunch will be served.
About the authors: Mel Lowry from Butte, Montana, shares stories about his seven families, serendipitous adventures, and a passion for science. Kathy Todd from Hollywood, California, presents stories of business travel, her work in the Carnation Company, and female empowerment. Marty Kaplan, raised and educated in Los Angeles, shares life events about family ancestry, RVing across the U.S., and his multiple careers.
