NOTE: TIME CHANGE
Tours now available on Thursday 2/9 at 8:45 am, 10 am, and 1 pm. The 6 pm tour is no longer available on this day due to a scheduling conflict, but David will give an introduction to the exhibition at the opening reception on February 11, 2017 at 6 pm.
Visiting Artist/Writer, David Molesky, will discuss the concepts behind the curation of Et in Arcadia Ego in a walking tour of the exhibition. David will give light to the literary origins of Arcadian thought and how it has been rephrased by generations of painters, from Poussin to Odd Nerdrum, as well as 16 masterful contemporary painters. The Idealized Landscape, the Shepherd as Outsider Figure, and the Contemplation of Mortality are some of the concepts that have shaped the selection of works.

His paintings of humans and environments have been featured in museum exhibitions domestically and internationally, including the Baltimore Museum of Art; Pasinger Fabrik, German; Casa Dell’Architettura, Italy; and Telemarksgaleriet, Norway.
