The things we tend to put out into the world are usually a perfected sense of ourselves. By using a more introspective look into our emotions, our memories, and our passions, we can begin to see a more transparent reality. We find unity behind our sense of identity, embracing our imperfect differences. Explored through the use of color, shadows, or provocative words, we become whatever the world makes of us. We are liberated through our art, creating a more honest representation of what makes us human. From digital to traditional media, Cal Lutheran presents a compilation of student work from the Art Department’s graduating class of 2018—Joey Enríquez, Ryan Clarke Gates, Atalia Hernández, David Moran, Kristine McGee, and Madison Starnes.
